DESIGN

We regularly carry out comprehensive site audits for customers, assessing the risks to your facility from the effects of direct and indirect lightning strikes. This may be in response to recent damage due to lightning, or as a pre-emptive move to ensure future reliability of essential services.

This generally involves inspection of all areas of the facility based on the principles of the Six Point Plan to ensure all possible entry points for dangerous discharge currents are assessed, and an applicable protection strategy can be implemented.

Through our partnership with Erico Lightning Technologies, we are able to ensure the best engineered solution is offered every time.

We offer full design specifications and drawings on both conventional and advanced lightning protection systems.

TRAINING

TerraCon Industries hold regular training seminars. These are either conducted in-house at our East Botany Office, or if more convenient, at the clients premises. TerraCon are in the process of becoming a Registered Training Organisation with the Office of Fair Trading so that our training can count towards the CPD scheme.

PRODUCT SUPPLY

As an Erico Distributor, TerraCon Industries have access to the entire range of products in the Erico Range. Where applicable, TerraCon are also able to value add to the products, whether it be to provide a suitable enclosure for a hostile environment, or custom building units to provide a specific need.

INSTALLATION SERVICES

The majority of the Direct Strike Systems sold by TerraCon are also installed by TerraCon. As the installations frequently require the application of specialty trades, we are able to install our systems to the highest quality, without compromising safety and performance. All of our installation staff comply with the latest OH&S requirements as laid down by WorkCover.

TerraCon are also able to offer installation service on all surge protection equipment, and we are set-up to install any type of grounding system.

TESTING & CERTIFICATION

All systems supplied & installed by TerraCon are tested & certified to the relevant standard. Whether it is to the requirements specified by Erico, or to the recommendations of AS1768 we ensure or systems not only meet the minimum requirements, but are certified to provide a level of protection expected by the customer.

Where a system is installed by a contractor, TerraCon also provide certification of the system to ensure compliance with the relevant standards.

MAINTENANCE SERVICE

All lightning & surge protections systems require some form of regular maintenance to ensure the equipment will do what is required when the time comes. Most industry standards require the Mean Time Between Maintenance to be no more than twelve months. TerraCon Industries are able to tailor a maintenance program to suit our customer’s expectations and budget.
